hi world! im back from states! haha ok. shall blog about it now(:

in short, it is a really good but tiring trip! haha!
the FLIGHT was horribly disgusting because we didnt have a personal entertainment system so all you could do was to SLEEP!
the FOOD there was good but its all western (steaks, burger and blah blah).
the PLACE is simply pretty(:
the SHOPPING! super duber good and crazy((: bought damn a lot of things!
the BUS JOURNEY from las vegas to san francisco was horrible because it was through a desert! sat on the bus for the whole day and didnt do anything else!
the COMPANY was nice(:

DISNEYLAND

its my third visit to disneyland so i wasnt particularly excited. personally, i felt that the one in japan was better because it somehow feels more majestic than the one in LA. and it is a lot cleaner too! but there are some nice rides that japan didnt have like the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. haha!

UNIVERSAL STUDIO

its my second visit to universal studio but this one is really different from the one japan! haha! the die die must go ride there is the STUDIO TOUR! you really go behind the scences to see whats happening in hollywood everyday! and its really cool! there is really nothing that is impossible in hollywood! there are really good rides there too like Revenge of The Mummy! its really good((: haha!

HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD
didnt really like the place alot. nothing much there. haha. but you get to see the footprints and handprints of the stars outside Mann's Chinese Theatre. there are close to 100 odd prints there. there were Potter's, Harrison Ford's, Eddie Murphy's, Will Smith's and many many more! there is also the Walk of Fame where the names of almost every other hollywood stars are printed on the floor! i think almost every hollywood star you can think of, they will be there! haha!

GRAND CANYON

omg the place is just simply PRETTY ((: the photos will do the telling. haha. but one thing is that it is really really really cold! everyone was shivering when we were up there but no regrets because we managed to catch the sunset and sunrise there!(: the place is simply majestic and magnificent!(: its really the highlight of the trip(:

LAS VEGAS

this place is really an eye-opener for everyone(: other than the casinos, there are also the super super pretty hotels with different themes each season! and they have performances outside some hotels. the fountain one outside Belagio was the best i think. its really nice because you have the Eiffel Tower as the background! the winning hotel, VENETIAN, really deserves the title! it has an interior design of Venice and it is daytime all day round in there! there are even gondolas that you can ride on in the hotel! cool right? vegas is simply damn cool because it centralises so many iconic landmarks around the world in just one place(: ohoh and i played the jackpot in the casinos ! its really cool! haha! but i was stopped becuase i was underaged=S

SAN FRANCISCO

this is a town filled with many many steep slopes and it is also where you can find most of the Chinese in States! its really nice because we got to travel around the city ourselves for one whole day. we travelled on the cable car which is really cool because it goes down the steep slopes and there are no doors to it! we went to have our share of THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY, where we dined outside in the open chilly air and served by super good looking waiters=p

SGI-USA

this is of course a part of the trip that cannot be missed! as in every overseas trip each year, we will go visit the kaikans in the country and learn from them! so we visited the World Cultural Centre, SGI Plaza, and the SanFrancisco Kaikan! particularly impressed with the World Cultural Centre because it is really a collection of all the 192 countries practising around the world. the furnitures in the auditorium are from different parts of the world. like the chairs are from finland, the carpet is from another country that i cant remember (oops!) and stuff. the gajokai at the world cultural centre is also really nice cause he helped us open up the various rooms so that we can visit them(:

SUA

this place is my personal favourite during the trip. it is really an amazing college. the campus is really big but there are only 400 students! mind you, vj alone has close to about 800 odd students. the whole campus is built based on donations from everyone around the world. and it is really touching to hear some of the stories of the donors. many of them arent very affluent people themselves but they have the heart to donate and play their part in soka education. its really the thought that counts. so in order to repay their debt of gratitude for making the school possible, every year, there will be one day where the students of SUA will do thanks giving to these donors. they will write to the donors to thank and show their appreciation for what they have done for the college. they may not have seen or know who the donor is but they still write with their hearts to give thanks(:

and ikeda sensei is really thoughtful because when he started the university, he only had two simple requests. one is to serve good food to the students so that they can be recharged to continue studying. two is to have good and comfortable hostels so that the students can have ample rest and have a condusive place to study in. because of that, the canteen has really really nice food and the hostels are really big and spacious. the students also have private toilets in their own room! so sweet of sensei right?

our tour guides, who were ex-students in SUA, Heather and Ramos, are really nice(: they shared with us about their experience in SUA and from them, i can really feel that the college is one that really grooms leaders and global citizens. in SUA, they really learn how to be global citizens of the 21st century and critical thinkers. i hope i will have the opportunity to study there in future one day(:

okay thats about all that i wan to share about the trip because i haven got much time=/ got discussion meeting in awhile! so take care people and enjoy the seasons of thanks giving(:

some other pictures of states(:
