a sad way to start the day. haha. actually nt tat sad la. went to send the wu shu peeps off to china early in the morn. damn tired now. suppose to meet mel but in the end she was overslept. so made me way to the airport meself. den when reach tat time they were already at the check-in counter tat area. went n meet them. den mel came at about 7am. took team picture bfore they left. den bade farewell at about 750am.

then went to have breakfast with joycelyn, sook kim, mel, ming zhou, see ann, n zhi yu. kena cheated. dman full now. left at about 9am. den came home to take booklist n went to help me sis buy bks. no people todae. so pretty fast. now waiting for ying lin to come to me house to do her proj. haha.

u wont b in town for the nxt 2 wks or so.

i think tat the trip is such an excellent time to know more about each other.

CREATIVE WAREHOUSE SALE! although nt really a fan of it, realised hwo nice the stuff are after gg there. bought a zen vision:M 30G! yeah. finally gt it man. n it is the white one. damn nice. haha. i would nt b bored during this korea trip le! yeah. haha.

then went to IMM. pissed me mama off there. haix. kind of spoilt me day. but anywaies. went to walk awhile den went to swim at Singpaore Poly Gradutes Guild. but it was super cold as usual. haha. went in to the hot bath illegally. haha. shiok sia! then had dinner n went home. on the way back went to gelare to redeem two pints of ice cream! yeah! haha. tat was todae:)

went to escape with the wu shu peeps. jon, sophie, joanne, sheng xian, nicole, julia, see ann, zhi yu, qiu yan, chang song, guan ming, wan ting, an rong, alex and wei jun went. meet at escape at around 1015 like tat. everyone was pretty on time. paid 6 bucks for the enterance ticket. pretty worth it cos they also gave u a coupon with good deals.

went in n started playing. but very sad cos all the fun rides nvr open. inverter, pepsi revolution n panasonic all close. then the best part was the haunted mansion. me a person who is very scared of all this ghostly stuff was standing IN FRONT! like in front! couldnt believe it. but anywaies. went in n gt pretty scared voer i dunno wat. den at the exit tat time wei jun scared us.being in front n so freaked out alr. i obvious screamed. when wei jun boo-ed us, i fell on the floor like immediately. haix. thanks wei jun.

then went out for lunch n went back in to queue for go kart. the best part arrived. afer queuing for dunno how, n it was gg to b our turn soon, it started pouring. grrr.... everything was like ruin n spoilt la. went to orange julius to seek shelter for while. bought a bun n sat down to chat. n while chatting, i realised that there is an ultimate lagger in the team.

joanne came to me house to cook. suppose to make sushi but realised that cant keep oveernight. so made cake instead. made cupcakes n cake. it was quite fun. n lucky i hav such a pro friend tat i dun really hav to worry if the food is edible. with jo around, everything is edible. haha! den later went to tm to grab some stuff. helped a blind on the way. went to ck departmental store to help jo find cargo. went ot hang ten n baleno to look c look c oso. saw tat 40 bucks cargo tat wan ting bought the other dae. felt tat it is nt worth it. anywaies. went to grandma house. slept for awhile. went to bbq at around 6 plus. a very simple one though. den catch up with randolph n gt to know about he being robbed and some other che kok pek stuff. haha.

had trng todae. super tiring dunno why also. learnt finish the jing sai qiang [jiu] finally. but i doubt i can remember the last two parts. but nvm. shall memorise n familiarise it on mon. celebrated chang song's bdae aft wu shu. den went to hui may's house n watch ppl swim. den later manage to dunk nicole. haha. ad a fun time. but reached home pretty late. hope mum is nt angry cos she didnt sae much. if she is angry i m dead la. cos tml suppose to go n shop for new year clothings. Words to live by....

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.

I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.

She said, "Hi handsome. My name is Rose.I'm eighty - seven years old. Can I give you a hug?"

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk non - stop. I was always mesmerized listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went.

She loved to dress up and she revelled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet.

I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.

Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know."

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.

There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humour every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.

We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!

There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.

If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty - seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty - eight.

Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.

The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets."

She concluded her speech by courageously singing "The Rose."

She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives.

At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.

One week aft er graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.

Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.

told me mum about the china trip just now in the car. then she asked me why i never tell her about it before. then i replied cos even if i told her, she wouldnt let me go. cos i hav been travelling too often this year n it would b kind of tiring too. then she was like," ya, true. but i might consider letting u go." even me dad also said that! when i heard it, i was like," why didnt i tell them earlier? like that i would not miss out all the fun le. n i can bond with the team even more!" anywaies. over le jiu over le lor. this is all fate. hmmm. nvm. shall go the nxt time. i hope there wil b one!:)

hope that me mum wil allow me to send the team off on the 30th. although is quite early in the morning, it is worth it! afterall i wont b seeing u guys for like 2 wks n i wil b missing out all the fun.




me n sis went out with mum to meet her long lost friend. had dinenr together at new york something. haha. cant remember. ordered too much food. in the end had to packet home one whole chicken. l0lz. mum chat with her n shared her experiences ever since chanting. yup. the chat went on until about 8.

after the dinner, i realised how fortunate i m s compared to others n learnt that we should not take things for granted. what u hav now doesnt mean that u would hav it forever. therefore, i wil learn to treasure everything and everyone around me and not only to take them at face value.
