hmmm. fri[20/10] was pretty eventful. in morn had farewell assembly for mrs chan. quite ok la. i love the song tat the teachers composed for her. so funny. n mr shi plays an electric pretty well. haha. but he looks weird when he play. cos it so0o0o not him. haha. oops. anywaies. aft the whole assembly, people started asking for full day. n it went on for quite awhile. den it died off when mrs chan didnt say anything. jus then something amazing happened! mr seet actually said this,, "shout louder!" when we heard tat alot of us were like omg! haha. a teacher actually said tat. haha. den lata mrs chan grabbed the microphone, and said something even more amazing. she said," it is my honour n pleasure to give u all the last full day off!" den most of us were like cheering n stuff. jus then, i thought what if nxt yr the new principle, mr chan, doesnt give us all these full days n half days [which i thouhgt was very likely]? hmmm. but anywaies for us, IP1s we didnt exactly cheered cos we still had to get back our papers. the triple kills. haha. so we were like... hmmm. den we went back to class to clean up the classroom.
cleaning up of classroom. it was quite ok la. alot of dust n stuff. i pitied althea. cos she had like a lot of files to bring home. haha. it took us about half n hour. n the class was like so0o clean for once. haha. den we had a break bfore we get back the triple kills in the LT at 1030.
in the meantime, since our tables n chairs were pushed to one side, we decided to play some games. all of us felt tat it was s though we went back for orientation. haha. n alicea came up with a name for it. IP2O. haha. IP2 orientation. l0l. we played like murderer, some scissors paper stone gmae which i tink most of us found it the most interesting. for this game rite, the person who wins at the final round has to choose a partner of the opposite sex to do the mash potato. haha. interesting rite? n guess wat. the first person to win was kelvin. den u noe lor. who his partner would b. haha. n june managed to get the video. haha. then next we had cephas n ambalica, alvin n huang sui. den we had guo wei n alicea. haha. quite funnny la. actually wanted to upload some videos to let u people noe how funny it was, but i hav decided not to b so evil. so sorry. hehe.
aft the whole thing rite, i felt tat our class is like super bonded n is the best class among the IP1 cohort la. aft all the things tat we went through this year, the happy n the unhappy ones, we r able to hangout with anyone n everyone in the class comfortably n like actually sit down n play games s one whole class during our break la. i tink tat is wat made our class most outstanding within the cohort. haha. n to all o6V11 people, u people rawkes n have made my life in this yr so much more colourful n eventful. i hope tat we s a class can remain s one n stay s close nxt yr! dere are so many people tat i would like to thank for helping in one way or another n they include grace, debby, jing, jie min, jolyn, althea, may, yi ling, huang sui, meng lu, shu qi, guo wei, jerald, kelvin, ian, pooja, cephas n the list goes on n on...
aft all the fun, we went to LT1 for the moment of truth, the oen tat we had been long waiting for. first it was bio. hmmm. i basically did okay considering tat i wasnt very confident of my answers. n i managed to pass. nxt was LA. okay. this is not very well done i tink. i feel tat i could hav done better for paper 3. i failed paper 2. haha. n guess wat AQ 1 mark, compre 2 marks. haha. best man i tink. haix. but overall manage to scrape thru the passing mark. although it is quite terrible, is okay lor. n lastly was ss. it is oso quite screwed up la. the wraitec one lost 5 marks for nothing. haix. den mr yang section i m oso nt very good cos i didnt noe how to answer. so is like. haix. but oso pass. n apparently, miss toh counted wrongly, so mayb can add marks. hope tat she realli coun wrongly, cos i can jump one grade. haha. by the time we ended ss debrief, we had been like in the LT for 5 hrs le! i was freezing by tat time, plus no food since the morn other than breakfast. but luckily i ate maggi mee for breakfast. if not i was jus fiant inside la. it was so0o0o0 cold tat i was like trembling la. haha. veri lousy rite. i noe. but wat to do. i oso dun wan de hor. haha. aft tat we had cca briefing n symposium briefing. yuppp. so by the time everything ends, it was a bout 3pm n we have been there for about 6 hrs? haha. hmmm. but anywaies. i did fairly for this eoys. cant expecct much cos i kinds did last min. so ya. manage to pass everything. so is quite ok le lor. nt veri happy but okay lor. hav to do intense mugging this hols man. in order to catch up. yupp.
den sat. wooo. i love it man. haven shopped so happily for such a long time le la. went to uncle subra house for lunch. all i had was fried rice with the traditional indian yoghurt. haha. damn nice la. ate liek 3 servings la. haha. i noe i m a glutton. but wat to do? haha. then went to the converse sale. waaaa. love it man. so many things sia. bought them like nobody's business. haha. bought a few tee shirts. actually wanted the germany de pencil case. but too ex. oso i was in a dilema if i shld buy this sling bag. is quite worth it for its price la. but the thing is it is pink n white. veri easy dirty. so int he end. nvr buy. den oso saw this converse handbag. damn big n nice n quite cheap. but den mama didnt wan to buy for me. so nvm lor. aft tat went to kallang de kfc to eat. haha. den went to suntec. waa. oso shopped like nobody's business. first went in to topshop. waaa. gt a lto of thigns to c sia. saw this damn nice dress. but dun hav my size. oso saw this addidas sling bag. damn nice. but mama dun wanna buy for me. =( oso dunno wat is it doing in topshop. haha. anywiaes. went nxt door de dorthoy perkins. dman nice la. gt sale. n the things on sale were damn nice too. picked a few tops for me mama. all veru nice lor. esp gt this black one. damn nice la. love it so much. but cant wear cos too mature. =( haha. den saw this wallet. 9 bucks nia. btu the colour a bit weird. so nvr buy. den oso saw many nice handbags. but dunno buy le for wat. so in the end nvr buy. haha. den went up to the timberland sale. wa. the moment i went in, i saw a few bags again. haha. damn nice, the material oso veri good. but as usual, the price oso veri nice la. although is on sale, still quite ex. it ranged from 79 bucks to 99 bucks. haha. i dun tink i m a person who would or can afford to invest on a 79 to 99 bucks de bag. haha. actually wanted to buy a pair of witner shoes for mama. but dun hav. so by den itw as time for dinner. n we ate [again] at marche. haha. den rushed home to watch i not stupid 2. haha.
oh ya. came across this via an email. thought tat it was very sweet. learnt something new. so here it goes...
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son
How was the trip?
It was great, Dad.
Did you see how poor people live? the father asked.
Oh yeah. said the son.
So, tell me, what you learned from the trip? asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw tat we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek tat has no end.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then the son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?
It makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have?
